Windows 10, Set Default app #157

I can't figure out how to set google voice desktop app as the default dialer for telephone links.

I don't think you can in Win 10 or 11 system wide. Both seem to only allow a tel: protocol handler that's Chrome, Edge, Skype or some app from the Microsoft store. See Screen shot. If this became a Microsoft store app then maybe we'd get this functionality.

You can register it as the default handler within the Chrome Profile linked to your google voice number and then Phone Numbers get a green Google Voice icon on the right, which you can click to dial, which isn't everything we might want, but it is really helpful.
