Can you try typing sudo spctl –master-disable
in the terminal and then change settings in Security & Privacy to allow apps downloaded from anywhere?
All you need to do is, after the alert dialog, go to System Preferences> Security and privacy> General. You will see the dialog that says xxxxx.xxxx wasn't loaded for the reason it wasn't loaded. Click the "Allow anyway"button.
Hi there, when I go to System Preferences> Security and privacy> General after the alert, there is not another dialogue.
I somehow got a distinct new dialogue (not within System Preferences) that had an "open" button on it. I clicked "open" but the VST doesn't show up in my Plugins in Ableton after scanning the folder.

Every time I get a security warning like this I can allow it . The dialog I am referring to appears on the bottom of the Security and privacy> General window. You must unlock to take action on it. There is a second OS confirmation alert as well when the effected software is loaded If this isn't happening for you, It's an Apple support issue, not a plug in issue. Are you running a newer computer with Apple silicon? If so you can try running Live in Rosetta.

This dialogue as mentioned by Iantren simply did not appear - however, I tried jerry's suggestion (was wary at first - I don't know much about Macs / computers) and it seems after doing this AND running Ableton with Rosetta the problem was resolved :) Thanks for the help!
hi there, I have the plug-in in the correct VST3 folder. When I went to scan the folder in Ableton, a window popped up saying it cannot be used because it cannot be verified. I have since tried re-installing, but the plug-in is nowhere to be found. It also does not give me the pop-up window anymore.
