junk in descriptions when expanded

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. http://www.haskell.org/hoogle/?hoogle=wumpus-tree+%2Bpackage
2. click the (+) to expand the description
3. see junk like "[Char '\n',Char '\n',Char 'C',Char 'o',Char 'r',Char 'e', ..."

latest haskell.org hoogle web search interface (using firefox on linux)

(seen this kind of junk on other expanded package descriptions too, so it isn't 
a one-off)
