Have Assignments due on Friday, not Monday #4

Monday due dates ruin the entire weekend.

Have you heard of the concept "Have it on my desk by Monday morning?" Having due dates on Mondays mimics that which you'll see in the professional setting, nothing is stopping you from getting it done by the Friday, if anything it's giving you another two days to work on it.

I've been using Monday morning deadlines in all my courses for a few semesters now so I've seen this comment quite a few times, yet I still don't understand the complaint. Just do it before the deadline. I even recommended that you add this in your team contract so your whole team is contractually obligated to finish earlier. This recommendation has been in the team formation section on the website since before the semester started and you've had multiple chances to update your contract.

Bigger than that though, comments like this deeply concern me and cause a lot of stress for me because of this: Why are you giving me so much control over your life? I shouldn't have this much power over you. Please stop giving it to me! Manage your own time and your own life.
