Is reverse engineering of the Zotero extension legally allowed?
Well technically it is 'open source', in the sense that, when installing the extension, the plain source code (html, javascript, css) is downloaded to you harddrive; it is not compiled in any way. I don't know about licenses, but I do know that no one will care if we rip some javascript from the extension's source code to use it in our own private project.
Modify it so that it submits information to our own system rather than Zotero.
