There is no visible highlight around selected text

I have the same issue.

In the following picture, I have selected first and second line.

Atom 1.8.0 seti-ui 1.3.1 seti-syntax 1.0.1

Highlighting of selected text seems to work, if you select "Show Shadow DOM" in Atom's preferences → settings (second last setting on the page).
