I failed to mention at our organizational meeting that the students in the room were are very varied levels in terms of Stata and research expertise and experience. That's okay. Feel free to "listen" if you are feeling overwhelmed.
I suggested 3 datasets. I suggest someone fill out my barebones list below with links to documentation, download locations, etc. (create a new "issue")
a. Current Population Survey (CPS)
b. Behavioral Risk Factors Surveillance System (BRFSS)
c. Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS)
Some of you are already aware of the different Stata resources - Statalist, UCLA, work flow by Scott Long,etc. Someone should create an issue with links to resources.
Create an issue with papers and online material worth reading.
