100 Points Acquisition Alert & Article Link when viewing Corporate Family Open In Business Browser when viewing the Corporate Family a user is alerted via a red highlighted message of any merger or acquisition activity (shown directly under the parent company). Our customer has identified that this is NOT available in Avention. Furthermore, can we then have a direct link from the alert through to the relevant news article/s. 3 Comments » Posted by stewart.hadley to Avention on 9/5/2014 11:44 AM Hide Section - Additional InformationAdditional Information Which customer(s) made this suggestion? Sodexo What customer impact would this have? Significant amount of research is done on mergers and acquisitions throughout Europe. Pinpointing the articles is critical to being able to inform salespeople and arm them with information to engage. Comments Add Your Comment Edit | Del

This is available in Avention, but with a slightly different implementation. If you navigate to a Corporate Family with merger activity (See Exxon Mobile Corporation, Key ID 10640), you'll see a downward-facing caret/arrow. Clicking on that icon reveals the relevant m&a activity, which highlights the same activities as in BB today. There is no link to launching a corporate structure news search as in BB, but a workaround is to click on the company's News report and then selecting the appropriate Business Topic or entering text iin one of the free text search fields. This implementation in Avention is not as obvious to users and as intuitive as it is in Business Browser - noblody will intuitively think to click the down arrow to expand these stories and then they are not hyperlinked. A separate but related issue is that the export to excel icon is not as obvious - it does not tell you what is does when you hover, you have to click it. In Business Browser the export to excel is shown by the excel icon.

I think the downward arrow makes this information very much hidden when there isn't any real advantage - i.e. merger information usually only falls into 1-2 lines.

To make this easier to view/access makes sense! Like Add Your Comment Comment
