Just a heads up that if anyone is having issues navigating the RetroPie UI with a gamepad or keyboard, or the keyboard stopped working in the retropie command line, it seems to be an issue with the newer versions of Raspbian and picontrol not getting along. Unfortunately, I'm too dumb to fix the issue, but you can delete the line "python /home/pi/scripts/picontrol/picontrol.py&" from the "/opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh" and everything will work again (and if you're like me, you can paste it back in and restart after making whatever changes/updates you'd like).
