Feature request - working version for Fire TV #7

The Android APK does not work on my Fire TV. It would be nice to have a working Version on Fire TV too .........to use it as SDR++ client.

I'm unlikely to fix this one sorry, but happy to merge a PR if someone else knows how to and has an Android Fire device to test on.

Do you get any other errors/feedback when attempting to use the APK on Fire TV?

At Installation I got the message (in german) "Beim Parsen des Pakets ist ein Fehler aufgetreten". Wich means Parsing Error without additional Information. I have two Fire TV Sticks. One older and one of first 4k Generation. Both same Error. On my mobile phone (Xiaomi Mi 9T) I use the App as SDR++ Client. In Android Settings I prevent SDR++ from going to sleep when screen goes off and put the phone in my pocket. This works very well for me. Listen for hours without problems.

Not sure if you have tried this or not, but https://firestickhacks.com/fix-parsing-the-package-error-on-firestick/ suggests that this error might occur if developer mode isn't already enabled.

I had both Options enabled during Install.

If not then your attempts to resolve your issue should be directed there. This fork is purely to integrate the radiosonde decoder into the standard build.

@scottjpalmer standard version is the same. Does also not install. Think you are right.
