I currently run SmartThings for my home automation.
I'm considering adding a HA bridge to SmartThings so I can control my heat pumps.
I'm wondering if ECHONET Lite will work over L3; I have a VPN tunnel to a server where I run docker etc.
The server would be something like 192.168.255.1 whereas my Mitsi wifi dongles are on 192.168.33.X
So does this need a L2 network, or L3 will work?
I haven't found great documentation on ECHONET Lite from a networking perceptive.
I am able to get to the MAC-568IF-E via HTTP, but dont know what the user/pass is to control it; I tried a combination of MAC, ID, PIN, KEY from the details on the back of the unit, but none worked. I was hoping I could call something like http://MAC-568IF-E/power/on or something which would make my life a lot easier.
