VUPlayer stops responding after Win10 sleep & wakeup #36

Hello,

when I close the lid of my laptop, it goes into sleepmode. If I have a VUPlayer open, then, when Win10 wakes up again, VUPlayer does not respond anymore to the player controls. Even doubleclicking on a song to get it started, does not work. The only way to continue to listen to music is to close the application and re-start it again.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I will see if I can reproduce this on my development system, and if I can, then I'll obviously try and come up with a fix!

Thanks, James

Hi,

After a fair amount of testing, I was not able to reproduce this issue on my systems. For the latest 4.16 release, I did stop playback when going into sleep mode, so this may (or may not) improve things. I will keep the issue open, just in case I'm able to reproduce the problem in the future.

Thanks, James

Hello James,

I think you can close this case. Today, by accident, I found the real cause of the issue in the previous version. The issue does not occur anymore in the latest version. The cause was not the sleepmode of my laptop, but me removing my cabled headphone from my laptop. So, VUPlayer is playing, I pause the playback, unplug my headphone, replug the headphone and VUPlayer doesn't respond anymore to the player controls. At first I believed it was by the sleepmode, since I closed my laptop, unplugged every cable and later on, I replugged everything to continue to work. In so, mistakenly believing it was by the sleepmode that the player stopped working correctly.

Regards, Geert.
