Problem with Jquery 1.7.1 #43

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I am using Jquery 1.7.1 instead of Jquery 1.3 
2. I view the counter in Chrome. I am at 1280 * 800 screen resolution
3. When I press (Ctrl '-') to zoom out of view, the last digit starts sliding 
down and then disapperas. not an issue when I use Jquery 1.3 like in your demo 
code.
