This is a social project. So we need a Team page. Use this issue to sign up for the project team. And if you say something about yourself, that would be great.

I'm in.

I've been using TeX since 1988, mainly for writing math. From 2003 I was the LaTeX Officer at the Open University. I had technical production responsibilities for math and upper level Physics courses. I'm now retired, and have returned to math research. While at the Open University I learnt a lot, and contributed to, accessibility of math content.

In December 2020 I set up the weekly TeX Hour to provide a regular virtual meeting place for the TeX community. Python is my main programming language, and I want to learn Elm. I know XML and XSLT quite well. I also know my way around git (although I'm not a real expert).

I am recent maths graduate that graduated with a masters in mathematical sciences. I have taken up programming in my spare time from my job to boost my cv, and would love to have a go at this project as my first issue, if you think I would be a good fit. I have lots of experience with LaTEx ( i have written my maths papers and last year's maths dissertation on Fourier transforms on groups on it), have some knowledge of MATLAB, though I mostly used it for my university courses. Python is my main language, I know my way around git ( I have few commits on here, but I only really started using it about a month ago, and have been catching up by reading guides on how to use it properly). I also know the fundamentals HTML and CSS, as well as debian based linux distros as Ubuntu and raspberry os are my daily drivers on my laptop and raspberry pi

Thanks for starting this @jfine2358. I am interested in trying to help. I am a stock assessment scientist at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center within NOAA, a division of the US Federal Government. Largely, I run statistical models and summarize the output using combinations of R, markdown, rmarkdown, LaTeX, etc. I know some html, but not enough to say I am proficient. I am most proficient in R and I am an avid user of git and github and have been since I started my PhD in 2012.
