not working

I am teaching Scratch Jr (Win) on lots of laptops. Most of them work brilliantly. But on a couple of machines, the programme will stop working properly (can't 'let go' of a sprite, it stays connected to the pointer). When Scratch Jr is closed and then opened up again, there are no saved projects- all the progress is lost. THis is happening on the same few devices - any ideas why and if there are any fixes for this?
