W3C Test 8.1.a fails Selenium on Firefox #480

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

While test 8.1.a passes manual inspection in Firefox 3, it fails when run
as a Selenium test.

The cursor position is not consistent across browsers (for IE, it is
always 0 as the test expects, for FF, it is at the end of any pre-existing
text in the inputs).

This test is correctly marked as 'Passed' in the manual results files.

As MarkB reminds on IRC, this issue relates to behavior in XHTML mode,
which is how we have the W3C test suite checked into SVN. This may not be
an issue in HTML mode (vague since I'm adding this comment as a bulk edit
across multiple issues). The manual results files actually reflect HTML
mode behavior.
