Added stats file and code from post 20, also added a version for people using both python2 and 3 and are too lazy to change the shebang line.

Review comments: 1) integrated improved H==0 test 2) integrated removal of 'hashes_done' redundant counter variable 3) not interested in a 99.9% duplicated content file in the repo 4) not interested in 'stats'

Take a look at the latest from the git repo, and see what improvements remain?

Oh, and: 5) Totally unrelated changes belong in separate pull requests
