Shelly app problem after update 3.16.1 #176

C070ACD8-3F65-42FE-B494-A07482B8F6D7 Good afternoon, I have all Shelly on Homey offline after update, Shelly all have fixed ip and they always worked, like

Can I solve it?

It's a bug in the latest release. I just pushed a new version to the test channel. Please install and test it to see if it fixes your issue.

Thanks for your answer, I installed the test version but the problem persists, I restarted homey and router

Try again on version 3.16.3 which is now available in the test channel.

Just tried the 3.16.3 but had no luck with that one. Devices still shown with red triangles.

Me too, for 2 devices I solved by deleting them and inserting them again the others not me

He finds them more.

Could the official version perhaps be rolled back to 3.16.0 while the kinks are being worked out? Just a thought.

I'd rather roll forward and version 3.16.4 is now in testing. If that doesnt solve it I will roll back to 3.16.1.

I cannot reinstall any devices as the app keeps crashing.

Yeah I understand. But reverting to 3.16.1 won't solve it I guess. That was the version that started crashing for me. Thx for your efforts to solve it though! We are all very grateful.

Got it. I have tried now. 3.16.4 still crashes after one or two minutes. Devices appear to go on and off line. Seems to affect the official Shelly app too as the devices goes offline there too as long as the Shelly app in Home is still running. Once it has crashed they get available in the official app again.

I have reverted the code refactoring in version 3.16.5. There are only small changes compared to version 3.16.0. Please install and let me know if that fixes the issue.

Yeah that helped. Still have issues with one of my plugs though that I cannot controll. Will try to re-pair it.

Could either or both of you install the new test version (3.17.0) to see if there are issues with this version. Iā€™m looking for some people that can verify that the previous issues with the app crashing do not occur on this version. If there are issues you can easily go back to the public version without problems.

Sure Give me a few minutes. Edit: Was about to install it but discovered that it had installed automatically as I was still om the test version. It is running fine since 25 minutes so all seems good with 3.17.0.

Mwah, shouldn't have happened in the first place. But I'm still unable to reproduce what happened the issue never occurred on my system. But I'm glad it's sorted now.
