Mercurial: "Create Patch" is horribly slow #1

With a large amount of changes (179 files, some of which are significant), the "create patch" functionality with the Mercurial plugin takes around 1.5 minutes. To contracts, "hg diff" from the command-line is about 0.5 seconds.

Grab YourKit or something and profile this. Start with refreshing the change list.
