The ./README.textile file is not in textile format, so the filename extension is incorrect.
The incorrect extension causes github to display the text in the readme file incorrectly, because it tries to parse it as textile markup.
Either change the format of the file to be properly textile markup, or change the filename extension. The file currently contains plain text so a .txt extension or no extension at all would be appropriate.
There are 4 additional readme files in the source tree: ./gss/README.textile, ./io/README.textile, ./jsse/README.textile and ./ssl-proxies/README.textile. These are all empty. I suggest to either put some content there or remove them.
