I texted the previous owner to ask when the timing belt was last replaced, and he said he did it around 107,000 when he first got it. So it's going to need done pretty soon (currently has 188,500).
I'm going to get quotes from Lon, Rahal, and Dwight. I'd prefer to go with Dwight, but we'll compare prices and see. Part of why I'd like to go with Dwight is because changing the timing belt is a good opportunity to get the camgears/pulleys done at the same time.
Lon's quote - $608.92 (includes timing belt, water pump, coolant, and an extra hr of labor for other items and tax)
Dwight's quote
Other stuff
Because of labor, etc, it will make sense to do the underpully's and cam gears while the timing belt is off. Lightened underdrive pully's provide power gains in two ways. First, and most important, is the weight loss. An average of 2.7 HP is gained from every pound lost off the crank shaft. 85% of the gains are from weight loss. The rest of the gains are from underdriving, which accounts for about 15% of the total gains.
Cam gears (2)
Fidanza adjustable cam gears (from JEGS for $112.99 ea, or from Andy's for $111.28 ea)
