WikkaWiki (and other WakkaWiki based) syntax to Markdown #2292

Hello,

I'm using WikkaWiki since several years but I'm considering moving to GitHub wiki and so Markdown syntax. It will be nice if pandoc could support WikkaWiki (and other WakkaWiki based) as input.

Here is formatting rules: http://docs.wikkawiki.org/FormattingRules

Some other wikis have similar formatting rules: Wikini http://wikini.net/ WakkaWiki http://docs.wikkawiki.org/WakkaWiki WackoWiki http://wackowiki.sourceforge.net/

Support of Wikicreole might also be an interesting idea https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creole_(markup) Wiki engines that have implemented full or partial support for Creole are Liferay, Djiki, DokuWiki, Ikiwiki, MoinMoin, Oddmuse, PhpWiki, PmWiki, TiddlyWiki, and XWiki. Creole 1.0 is the default syntax in Bitbucket wikis.

Kind regards

Hi,

I noticed on http://pandoc.org/ that pandoc now supports the following wiki syntax

I don't know what wiki syntax is nearest for WikkaWiki syntax.

Any idea?

https://www.wikimatrix.org/compare/wikkawiki+dokuwiki+pmwiki seems to show that WikkaWiki is quite close to DokuWiki but there is still some differences.

We support creole, too.

I'm still interested by such a reader. Or at least some help to implement it because I have an old wikkawiki wiki which was only able to run with PHP5 and want to get data out of it as Markdown files. I imported sql dump to a local MySQL database, I did a Python script to get a .txt file per page but now I'm trying to convert this wiki flavour to Markdown and using dokuwiki as input doesn't help much because links are not rendered correctly. I can consider small sponsoring to help this happen and provide some sample files. That's more than 15 years of usage a personal notes, url ... so that will be great to find how to get data out in a quite correctly rendered manner. https://www.wikimatrix.org/compare/wikkawiki+dokuwiki+pmwiki SYNTAX EXAMPLES gives some example I must admit that I'm not very skilled at regexp writing.
