Support for MAF and MHTML (output and input) #3711

Are the developers considering the support of these formats in the near future? As far as I know, the MAF format is a zip-archive and is similar (in some sense) to the epub. Firefox and Chrome use them to save full page archives. And it will be very helpful for end users to convert via Pandoc from/to these formats.

Would like to raise awareness of this! Would love to see this implemented.

Input: MHTML Output: PDF

It shouldn't be "impossible" considering this is possible yet a hassle using a combination of other programs.

Would love this feature right now.

Firefox and Chrome use them to save full page archives.

Are you sure? At least on macOS that's not the case.

Seems like MAF is deprecated on Firefox and browser support for MHTML is spotty?

Any update on this issue? MHTML/EML is a widely used format for saving web pages and emails in a single file.

It shouldn't be difficult to write a custom Lua reader for this.
