Game settings - don't keep #383

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

I noticed any settings I change for individual games do not save.

(choose game--> gear icon --> ocarina/VIDTV patch/game fix/etc)

For example: I pick Wii Sports, click the gear, change game fix and
language, click... click the gear again - all the settings are default
rather than the changes I just made.

Changing the settings individually for each game is not working (at least
for me). Not a big deal on 99% of my games, but Wii Sports Resort needs to
be run with Error #002 fix at least once (if not every time).

So, alas, I am using the beautiful Cover Flow for all games except WSR...
for that I must use the actual disk or NeoGammaR7

Do your other settings get saved? I mean the main settings, basic, advanced,
graphics
etc...

Try deleting the wiicoverflow.xml in your SD:\usb-loader folder.

@F1SHE4RS
Yes - all of the "main" settings stay. They stay after I hit 'B' to return to
the
game list and also when I quit CoverFloader and relaunch it from HBC.

The title specific settings don't stay at all, not even when I hit 'back' or
press
'b' to exit setup and return to launch the game.

@harrilam
deleted SD:\usb-loader\wiicoverflow.xml still nothing retained.

@anyone

Do your settings save from title specific settings(?) or am I the only one
experiencing this issue?

Please delete your gamelist.xml and try again. Thank you

*DING*DING*DING*

We have a winner! Deleting gamelist.xml fixed the problem, looks like I had an
old
one in there.

All settings now save, WSR works from CoverFloader, and - as a bonus - "last
played"
is actually accurate now! Haha

Thanks F1SHE4RS you've been a great help!
(kicking myself for not thinking of that to begin with)

Great news. I'll close this now.
