Error installing sassy buttons gem #39

Hi,

When I try to install using gem install sassy-buttons I was getting a permissions error so I changed the permissions using sudo chmod 777 1.8

Now when I try to install I get the following error: ERROR: While executing gem ... (Errno::EACCES) Permission denied - /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/cache/rubygems-update-1.8.7.gem

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

sorry guys I hadn't installed compass before hand.
