Would it be possible to integrate this display into the project?

I don't have an SSH1106 to play with unfortunately, and the driver I'm using only works with the SDD1306. Having said that, the driver is also apparently deprecated, so at some point when I have free time I need to find a newer driver library to use; if whatever I find happens to also support the SSH1106 I'll let you know.
