"Writing Posts" keep flashing #76

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Converted WP file fine
2. Import finishes without errors
3. The message "Writing Posts" keeps flashing but nothing happens

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- nothing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
- Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Chrome and Firefox

Please provide any additional information below.
- It looks like the import works but nothing is imported. The "Writing Posts" 
message flashes for hours until I refresh the screen. The xml file is only 304K 
and I've even tried splitting it but doesn't work either.
