Can't see SSID with some devices #230

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Which device (manufacturer, type)? T-Mobile G1

Which firmware is installed? Latest stable Cyanogen

What version of wireless tether are you using? 1.6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the tethering
2. try to see the network with a Zune HD
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect to be able
to see my G1's WiFi network SSID, but I simply don't see it no matter what
the settings in Wireless Tether are.

Please provide any additional information below.

The Zune HD does not support connecting to Ad-Hoc networks. Wifi tether only
supports
ad-hoc (due to phone chipset driver limitations), thus we are unable to support
this
(its beyond our control).

Damn, that sucks. I mean, I understand and I know it's out of your control, but
still, damn, that sucks.

Oh well, your app helped me out immensely the other day, so it's all good.
Thanks!
