What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Setup firewall to reject connections to host with error.
2. Try to connect to this host with connectbot
3. connectbot dies with error and all connections are killed.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
connectbot should report error connecting to host and continue running.
What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
ConnectBot-git-tablet-2011-10-20_12-30-56.apk
version in Android market also produces similar results.
What type of system are you trying to connect to?

and any other relevant information on the host?

icmp6 error was "ICMP6, destination unreachable[|icmp6]" - have also seen this
error with ipv4 icmp responses too.
