Archive browser quits #651

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I bought The Archive Browser some minutes ago.

Opening a zipfile, compressed with OS X, causes TAB to quit immediately without
any error message. Dragging the zipfile onto the TAB icon, works without
problem.

I'm using MacOS X.6.8.

Best wishes, Martin

Could you check if any messages are printed on Console.app?

After starting TAB the console issued the following message:

06.04.13 14:30:34 kernel The Archive Brow (map: 0xffffff8014e79aa8)
triggered DYLD shared region unnest for map: 0xffffff8014e79aa8, region
0x7fff88000000->0x7fff88200000. While not abnormal for debuggers, this
increases system memory footprint until the target exits.

Trying to open a file with Open issues no message but immediately quits.
'Open recent' works with no problem, double clicking the zip file works,
drag and drop (as already mentioned) works. It's just the Open command.

I can't reproduce this.

Can you check if you have any programs installed that modify the behavior of
other programs, and if so, quit or disable them, and test again?

it's a problem with Default Folder 4.58! After turning off DF everything
works well now.

Geez, Default Folder also causes problems with The Unarchiver. Well, good thing
you found it!
