[Talking Dialer] Cannot Access Phonebook #18

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to the talking dialer app on the Motorola Droid
2. Touch the phone's Menu button to toggle from Dial mode to Phonebook Mode
3. Stroke dial to access the first letter of one of your Contacts

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It is supposed to take you to your contacts, particularly the first contact
starting with the aforementioned letter you stroke dialed.

It doesn't do that at all. It just says "No Contacts Found".

You also cannot scroll through you contacts either from the Phone dialer.
If you hit a letter on the QWerty keyboard, you get "No contact Found" If
you try and scroll using the trackpad you don't get any responce at all.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using the Talking Dialer you can get off Android Market Place on
Android 2.0 on the Motorola Droid.

Please provide any additional information below.

On devices without a physical call button, we are using the search button as an
alternative.

Believe this may be related to contacts from secondary Google accounts not
being accessible by the Talking Dialer application. This fix has recently been
submitted for review. Pending approval, it will be pushed via Market.
