Unable to view products using keyboard #7

Users have to click on the products icon to view the products avail in the GUI. Not savvy for CLI users. May not be appealing to indicate the products just at the command box.

Team's Response

Our team agrees that it may not be visually appealing for products to appear at the result display. However, we thinks that the severity should be very low instead of low. Firstly, the aim of view command feature is for users to know the information associated with a particular supplier or warehouse (e.g. contact information, name and products associated with it). Despite being not visually appealing for products to appear at the result display, it certainly still allows CLI-users to know what products are associated with the particular supplier or warehouse that user wants to know about. Hence, we would like to reject the claim that it is not savvy for CLI-users since the functionality of view command would still be complete even for a CLI-user.

However, our team accepts the claim that it could be more visually appealing if the products pane could be dropped down to display the products associated with a supplier or warehouse. Therefore, we think that it would be more appropriate for the severity of this issue to be very low instead of low. This is due to the fact that this is just a pure cosmetic issue of where the products associated to a supplier or warehouse would be displayed (GUI vs result display) since we believe that the feature is deemed to be complete as stated above.

Items for the Tester to Verify

 Issue severity

Team chose [severity.VeryLow] Originally [severity.Low]

Reason for disagreement: severity.Low : A flaw that is unlikely to affect normal operations of the product. Appears only in very rare situations and causes a minor inconvenience only.

I believe that the severity of this feature flaw should still be low since it still cause minor inconvenience to the users, in addition of being a cosmetic flaw. This is because frequent users who use the app may want to easily view the products in many different warehouse/supplier. However, there will be some inconvenience for them as they have to input the view command to view only one specific warehouse/supplier, before using back the list command to go back the full list to locate the next warehouse/supplier and then using the view command again. This 2 step process will lead to alot of inefficiency for users who have many warehouse/suppliers in the database as they have to keep repeating the view and list command. Having a command to expand and collapse the products window in the GUI without having to just view 1 specific warehouse/supplier will be more convenient for the users as they can easily view other warehouse/supplier in the lists without using an additional command. An example of such command can be expand ct/TYPE i/INDEX and collapse ct/TYPE i/index. Hence, I believe that the severity of this feature flaw should be low due to the inefficiency of the view command to look at products in the result display box, resulting in some inconvenience for users.
