For example, when using RGB scale of 32, set RGB slider on 9, and exit palette. 
Re-enter-it: using the top arrow moves it to 11, using the bottom arrow moves 
it to 7.

Fixed in r1606. This time I checked all in Excel.
Today's lesson: When formula found by trial-and-error is exact for values 2, 3, 
4, 16 and 256, it doesn't mean it's exact for values in-between. MATH FAIL.
