Kept a log of the steps I took for a system-wide install of botany on ~institute. This appears to work on my BSD and Linux VPSes, but please verify that it completes correctly on your end and verify that botany functions after running it.

sorry to comment on this 2 years later but you should add a cron for the visitors clearing script
