For those reading, mattr-/slate is also unmaintained as of May 2017. From what I understand, http://www.hammerspoon.org/ is similar and is maintained. Please don't quote me, kindly verify.

Seems like https://github.com/ianyh/Amethyst is popular, but haven't yet tried it.
