Request / Improvement #2

Hi I installed the 12C and works great!
Congrats for your good work.
I have two comments to improve this fantastic app:
1- Include a clicking sound for making sure the buttons are pressed.
2- The iphone status bar is over the left buttons and in the upper of the
screen there is some free space. It'd be very polish to fill the correct
spaces of the screen.

Thanks and keep going!!

Hello,

Thanks for your comments. I do plan to add a click sound in the future as a
preference that can be enabled or disabled.

Regarding the status bar, I have a few questions. Did you install the app
manually
or use Installer.app?

If you used Installer.app, the status bar should switch to landscape mode
properly.
If not, you'll need to run the following command on your phone from a shell
prompt:

{{{ /Applications/HP-12C.app/hp12c --init }}}

Finally, if you don't launch the app from springboard, (e.g. from a ssh
session) the
status bar won't switch to landscape mode. Perhaps you're using some app
launcher
other than springboard or summerboard?

Wow! thanks for your fast answer :)
I have FW 1.0 and I installed through Installer V2.63, so I have to add your
source
page manually to get the app to install.
I'm launching it from springboard, but also I've installed Summberboard & Rsbt.
Also I did the "/Applications/HP-12C.app/hp12c --init" command but nothing
happened.

After you run the --init, you'll need to restart springboard for the change to
take
effect.

I'm not sure if this is a firmware 1.0 issue or not. I've only tested with
1.1.1.

The --init command just edits the following file:

/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/DefaultApplicationState.plist

It adds an entry like this:

<key>net.fors.iphone.hp12c</key>
<dict>
    <key>SBDefaultStatusBarModeKey</key>
    <integer>2</integer>
</dict>

If you have to, you can add it manually and then restart springboard.

Tom: I restarted springboard through Summerboard and now it's working as you
said.
It's so f*kn nice to see my old and heavy HP working in my phone!
Regarding to the click sounds, it would be nice to do also the zoom effect as
the
iphone keyboard does instead of the light effect.

Thanks & Keep Going

macdo

Will you be doing or can I request that you do a 17B. I Like the 12C but
primarilly
use the 17B.  Thoughts?

When I show people the 12C at first they think it is just a picture until I
tell
them to try it. They are amazed!! They love it!! Great work!! Thanks.
