It is possible to change the skin by updating the png files in the Application 
Bundle
(i.e. /Applications/HP12-C.app/keypad.png on your iphone or ipod touch.)

Unfortunately, to implement the functionality of a platinum 12c I would need a 
ROM
dump from the real calculator and I'm afraid that since HP still sells this 
model,
that might be a problem.

That is, unless someone can give me programs or key sequences for the missing
functionality, then I can add it without violating their copyright.
