SIMBL does not provide auto-updating mechanism currently. Many modern 
applications are getting to support it, so I wanted SIMBL to support that 
feature.

I'm not sure I understand the bug. Are you saying that SIMBL needs an 
autoupdater for itself, or to update 
plugins?

Users will be happy with both (SIMBL updater and SIMBL plugins updater).
# And this issues is not a bug report but a feature request.

Auto-updates are *very* tough to handle correctly in all cases. I would review 
a potential patch or an 
implementation plan, but this isn't high on my list. There is already the 
Sparkle framework, but my impression 
was that it was quite large and involved.

I agree that checking for plug-in updates can be difficult, but an update 
checker for SIMBL alone would be useful.
