Context menu entry "copy url to clipboard" #657

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Add an entry to the explorer context menu "copy url to clipboard" which copies
the url of the selected file(s)/folder(s) to the clipboard.

But only show it in the extended menu.

"But only show it in the extended menu," unless moved to the main menu by the
user :-)

I was just about to request a similar feature:

"Copy to clipboard" icon for the path shown at the top of the Commit window.

I would use this for team notifications (my non-SVN users who browse via HTTP)
perhaps 90% of the time when I commit.

I think these two requests overlap in purpose but I would use both of them as
features at the appropriate time.

thanks

To copy the *path* and not the urls, just install StExBar:
http://stefanstools.sourceforge.net/StExBar.html

Among many other things it can copy the selected paths to the clipboard by you
simply hitting Ctrl+Shift+C in the windows explorer (or clicking the button in
the toolbar).

StExBar is also open source and written by me just in case you're worried about
installing unknown software.
