Freckles are small flat brown marks arise on the face and other sun bare areas.
They are mainly often seen in fair painful people, particularly those with red
hair, but they are an innate characteristic that on occasion affects darker
skin types as healthy.
The medical word for this type of freckle is "ephilis". The colour is owed to
pigment collect in the skin cells.
Skin pigment (melanin) is ready by cells identify melanocytes. They don't
create a lot melanin throughout the winter months, but create more when bare to
the sun. The melanin is subtle into the adjoining skin cells, identify
keratinocytes. The colour of ephilides is due to localized accumulation of
melanin in keratinocytes.
