doesn't do anything obvious for me as my Spanish translation file is incomplete. The Flickr uploader tab is mostly translated though.
Actually the Spanish translation file isn't that incomplete, but changes in the Photini source means many strings aren't found. Running python3 setup.py lupdate -l es
fixes most of the problems.
I have just seen Spanish on this conversation... is there something I can help with?

If you're interested in "localising" Photini for the Spanish language there's an incomplete translation that could be finished off. You can use an online service "Transifex" or do it locally on your own computer. See https://photini.readthedocs.io/en/latest/other/localisation.html for more info. (If two or more people work on it simultaneously things might get complicated...)
Sorry, just noticed you (@orensbruli) did the original translation. It's a bit out of date now...
Yes, no problem. I will take a look to it.

I apologise for suggesting the Spanish translation was very incomplete. When I made some major changes recently I changed the names of some classes but did not update the translation files to match. This meant that the translated strings were not being found so Photini appeared to have no translation, as @aseques found.
I will be more careful in future. The important step is to run lupdate reasonably frequently. It can detect moved strings and do the right thing to the translation files.
hi @jim-easterbrook in fact I wanted to start the program in my locale that's catalan (that should be fully translate at the moment), that didn't show up, so I tried spanish instead. After your last changes (227607069e7c81fe8b0468c10a2e58086a4fca77), I can start now photini in catalan.
Thanks again
I wanted to test the newly create catalan translation, so after clonning git master I do:
I get some errors but the process seems to finnish well, as I get the qm files:
Still, when I open the app the language is always english, I tried overriding the language like this with no efect.
