The repository is currently prepared with a folder structure which can be refactored in a more standard way. The idea is to have at the root level:
lib folders: e.g. "legacy_lib" and "dft_lib" (whilst these two still coexist)
documentation: Where we are going to place the docs and notes
scripts: A place to keep the needed scripts for the repository
examples: With subfolders if required, where we will place the applications which use the lib
At the root level we should only have readmes, license and the minimum number of scripts which allow us to prepare the library and run examples or tests.
[x] Rename folders to be compliant with the new naming convention
[x] Move files and folders to the above mentioned folders to re-organise the code
[x] Make sure the library (v1.0) can be compiled with the new structure
[x] Make sure the examples (v1.0) still run with the new structure
