Google voice dialer can't login #14

I've been using the gv dialer for a while with no issues. Now it will not 
login to GV, showes the gray "?" and states that it's offline. However, 
clicking the extension button does take the browser to google voice, and 
calls can be made there with no issues. I've cleared cookies and history, and 
uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin (latest version), with no change in 
behaviour.

Is it possible that this is because the number of contacts is too high? I have 
almost 
7200 in the gmail contact list.

I've had the same problem since the last update. I don't believe it's related 
to contact size as I have <200 contacts.

Chrome version - 8.0.552.5 (Dev. Channel, I believe)
OS - Mac OS X 10.6.4
