Could you please if this problem can be reproduced in the latest v82 experimental release: https://github.com/GerHobbelt/qiqqa-open-source/releases/tag/v82.0.7356.40890

(In case you wonder/worry: you can install v82 over v81 and when you don't like the issues in v82 (it has some peculiarities re BibTeX editor) you can always go and install v81 right over it: the installers will work both as 'upgrade' and 'downgrade'. The Qiqqa database and other files are compatible across the v82, v81 and v80 versions.)
