Qiqqa crashes when I scroll fast in a pdf document #316

"Unexpected problem in Qiqqa" windows appears after Qiqqa crashes. This happens in a quite reproducible way when one scrolls a bit faster than usual when a document is opened. I'm on windows 10 with Qiqqa v83.0.7656.6401 I attached the detailled information given in the error message. Error message.txt

Thank you for having a look at it! The problem is quite annoying.

Thanks for the crash info.

The v83 series are test releases for particular issues mostly, while I migrate the UI to a more user activity responsive mode of operation ("async UI updates") and this looks like one of the issues caused by that.

For now I would advise you to revert to the latest Qiqqa v82 release: as a whole, that one is more dependable than the v83 test releases. (Granted, it's not perfect either, but this sort of trouble should not bother you with a v82 install.)

Note that you can easily install v82 over v83: the databases, etc. are binary compatible so switching is as easy as downloading the setup.exe and installing Qiqqa again: it'll yak about about replacing the existing version and then you click Ok -> next -> next ... as with any regular software installer and you have the downloaded Qiqqa version ready to go.

Hi @GerHobbelt ,

I am happy to help out on some of this UI work, PDF viewer, or Electron work. Particularly if I can get some "coaching" on where to focus efforts!
