Something unexpected happened...Object reference not set to instance of an object. #413

Have the above error in v83.0.7656.6401.

Qiqqa shuts down after this. Also not able to add annotations to documents.

Is there are more stable release I should be using?

Please try one of the v82 releases instead. (They're all back- and forwards-compatible and can be installed over any previous install, so that makes trying another version relatively easy, fortunately.)
