Nintendont doesn't work with CFG Loader #168

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.load CFG Loader
2.select Gamecube game
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Game should run like it does when I select it straight from Nintendont w/o the
use of CFG Loader. But instead it just freezes at the Nintendont screen with no
errors or anything.

What revision of Nintendont are you using? On what system Wii/Wii U?
newest revision downloaded yesterday. On Wii

Please provide any additional information below.
Originally when trying to load the game from CFG Loader using Nintendont, I got
an error "failure to access nand". I updated cios58 since that is where it
showed it was using to access the boot.dol file. Now it just freezes at the
Nintendont screen without any errors. I have been searching all over the
internet for an updated tutorial or someone who has answered this problem, but
I cant find anything. I uploaded CFG Loader 70r78, nDios Mios 2.11, newest
cios58, newest Nintendont... nothing changes, same problem - will only work if
I use Nintendont straight from its own forwarder on Homebrew. I just need a
detailed, "clean slate" tutorial on how to get this to run on CFG Loader using
a usb hard drive.

I have a similar issue, except:
I had no original issues trying to load, everything loads fine using the
following from homebrew channel/nintendont:
My nintendont .dol (latest as of today r325) is on sd/apps
My cfg loader .dol (latest as of today v70r78) is on sd/apps
Actual cfg loader files are on usb(0)/usb-loader
iso is on usb(0)/games
- but when trying load from cfg loader with the same setup, it states it is
loading nintendont .dol, gets about '......' into it and freezes. Still on cfg
loader screen, never gets to nintendont screen. I have to reset system by
holding power for five seconds.

The exact output I am getting is:
[+] Booting game, please wait...

    Loading../apps/nintendont/boot.dol
    IOS(58) .....

Then it freezes.
Some things to note;
1) this hdd freezes also when using dios mios trying to load NGC games, but
loads wii games fine, it seems like it stops working after it starts to load,
the activity light stops...
2) this same hdd runs the same ngc games fine from homebrewchannel/nintendont...
3) I have another hdd drive (sata with usb 2.0 adapter card) that will run the
mios dios ngc games from cfg loader, where the other hdd would not - but it
will not run the same ngc games from nintendont from the cfg loader, but does
from homebrewchannel/nintendont.
Hope that is helpful...

I feel like an idiot... The 'LOCK' on my SD card was activated, so I am
guessing it tried to write some config info to the SD, but could not, and froze
up; unlocking the SD card has resolved the issue... Feel free to delete my
comments or leave them up to help other fellow idiots... Thanks for your work.
