Hi,

Is there still active development going on here? We have an old dependency on 
nettopo for reading shapefiles.

Maybe I can create an updated implementation of this in v1.X? Or is it better 
to update our depency to v2.X?

I have some experience, I created OsmSharp: http://www.osmsharp.com/

Yes, there is.

Actually the ShapeFile.IO has experienced quite a few tweaks in the last year. 
Do you have any issues with it?

Do yourself a favor and don't do that.
