help with dns #17

when i connect an iphone 4s(dns xxx.xxx.xxx) it doesn't have internet :(

help xd

Do you mean that when you change the dns the iPhone 4s can't get on the web? That is no surprise because you are now telling the iPhone to resolve hostnames with a fake dns server, I.e. your server that is running siriproxy. So the common practice is to capture the keys you need and then change your dns back to default or 8.8.8.8, google I think, So the real question is, are you able to capture keys from the 4s? If not let us know what distro of Linux you are on and if you have ports 53 and 443 forwarded to your server.

no i'm don't able to capture keys.-.- i have an v server debian.

and an other option is vpn, how can i configure that on debian?

Debian and Ubuntu are similar. Try http://www.ketchup-mayo-senf.de/blog/-it-howto-vpn-server-in-linux-for-iphone-4-iphone-4s-and-siriproxy

Also are you getting the error on start up or when you try to capture keys? If while capturing keys this is a certificate error.

I would love to help you though. Lets work on getting your server running without errors first. What error exactly are you getting when you start the server? What command are you using? And how long does it run before it dies?

Ok . When I get home I will send you a python script that should work. Just forward port 53 to your server in your routers settings. Did you do that yet? If I can find it I will on the web I will forward it to you.

ok here is the file you need. download it and change the ip to your local ip or your puplic ip provided by your isp. just make sure you have port 53 forwarded.

then run sudo killall dnsmasq the start this script with sudo python dns.py

also we can try to get your dns masq working correctly by putting the contents of /etc/dnsmasq.conf up here

I think you don't have ip tables installed. Sudo apt-get install iptables
