I got windows 10 (but had windows 7 as well) with multiple monitors and didn't have any issues selecting. I put this down to windows drivers or some 3rd party application doing nasty stuff (seen Team Viewer do this). Sounds like a rendering or window manager issue really. I just tried 1.4.0.8 and on all 3 monitors it works fine for me though windows 10 but I don't think being windows 7 would've made any difference. Highly recommend fiddling with video drivers and/or check any window hooking applications if any.
I have problems selecting text within PuTTY tabs which appears to be related to me having multiple monitors. With the SuperPuTTY window on either my 2nd or 3rd monitor, I can't select text at all. I am also unable to right-click. It appears mouse clicks are not registering at all.
On my primary monitor it works, though only within the top left area of my screen (about 7/8 of the way from the top and 3/4 from the left). Initiating selections or right-clicking in PuTTY tabs outside of that area does not work.
Additional info: SuperPuTTY 1.4.0.8 and PuTTY 0.66/0.67 on Windows 7.
